About Royal Bakery

Located at 1841 Fairview St, Houston, TX 77006, Royal Bakery operates as an asian bakery serving Houston in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 6 am–1 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Royal Bakery at (713) 528-3971; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 42 reviews, which is a strong result for an asian bakery in Houston and suggests consistent service.

Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Houston is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

It’s a bakery. Not a onesie-twosie joint, but you buy 6+ loaves. That being said, best bread you can buy in Houston. My go to for all types of sandwiches. I’ve used their bread for all the standard stuff, plus French dips, muffulettas, grilled cheese, and homemade croutons. Fantastic stuff.

Great family ran place that makes you feel at home. Looking forward to a long term friendship with them and my restaurant.

I recently visited this place, and the only item they were selling was Po'boy bread. You can purchase a bag of loaves, which are typically in bulk, or buy single loaves as well. The staff there were very friendly, and the bread is fresh and made in-house. They have plenty of parking available, but be aware that the roads around the area are quite bumpy, so be cautious with your car. I will definitely return for more bread!

I love this place. They have the best sandwich bread in town. I guess they changed their hours. They use to close at 3pm but they now close at 1pm. I was about an hour to late. Update 3/27/23: The 18” bread is now $1 each.

This bakery is very popular with locals and some businesses. They are opened 6 days a week till 1:00 p.m. the poor boy bread is delicious and freshly baked daily. Some of the bread goes to various businesses like Antoine. Drop by and buy some.
